Founded in 1846, the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Genoa City is a vital and active part of our community. The United Church of Christ recognizes that all Christians share the same basic faith and seeks to unite all Christians in effective ministry and mission in Christ’s name, while recognizing diversity of work and worship.

Rev. Jennie Swanson, Pastor
Pastor Jennie been ordained since 1996 and began serving at First Congregational in 2013. She and her husband Jeff live by Lake Como. Pastor Jennie is a licensed Advanced EMT and is currently Fire Chaplain for Bloomfield Genoa City Fire and Rescue and also an AEMT on Twin Lakes Rescue Squad. Jennie is passionate about community outreach and has a heart for helping people build a closer relationship with God.

The mission of this church shall be to bind together followers of Jesus Christ for the purpose of sharing in the worship of God and in making His will dominant in the lives of people, individually and collectively, especially as that will is set forth in the life, teachings, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
