Grief Support Group Starting Sept. 9th

We are offering a GriefShare support group beginning Sept. 9th in the Welcome Room.

GriefShare is designed to help people travel the journey from grief to joy. All members of the community, whether they are members of the church or not, are welcome, and it is free. If you'd like to purchase a workbook, the cost is just $15.00. Please feel free to encourage a friend or neighbor who may need it to attend.

Each week the GriefShare group will watch a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. After viewing the video, group members will spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week's video seminar and what is going on in their lives. Weekly sessions are 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Fridays Sept. 9th - Nov. 18th.

GriefShare is far people grieving the death of a family member or friend. Of course, there are other losses in life that create feelings of grief: a job loss, a divorce, estrangement from a child, or the loss of friends because of a move. This grief is also real, but it is not the focus of GriefShare sessions.

Anyone grieving their loss is welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session. Each is "self-contained," so attending in sequence is not necessary. Learn more about the program at www.GriefShare.org.
